Hyderabad Police prepared foolproof security arrangements for anti-polio campaign

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad, Shahzeb Chachar, Hyderabad Police prepared a foolproof security plan for the anti-polio campaign started from April 13 and continue till April 19.

SSP Hyderabad launched the campaign by administering polio drops to children at CDF Lady Dufferin Hospital.

SSP Hyderabad said that it was the national responsibility of all to protect children from the deadly disease Polio, and in this regard, all possible security measures were being ensured.

A total of 1737 police personnel have been deployed under the security plan, including 61 transit teams, 98 fixed teams and 1553 mobile teams including 25 ladies police personnel so that complete security could be provided to the polio teams.

The police have increased mobile and motorcycle patrolling across the city, while additional personnel have been deployed in sensitive areas.

Special transit security was being provided to ensure the safe movement of polio teams, and the checking system has been tightened at key locations.

The Quick Response Force (QRF) has been put on high alert to deal with the emergency situation, while all operations were being continuously monitored from the Central Control Room.

In addition, complete coordination with the Health Department and the District Administration has been ensured.

The SSP Hyderabad expressed his determination that law and order would be maintained at all times during the polio campaign and full security would be provided to the polio workers so that they could perform their duties without fear or intimidation.
