ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Heritage and Culture Huzaifa Rehman on Sunday congratulated the nation on Marka-e-Haq, terming it a strong message of unity, resilience and national resolve that reflects the country’s enduring spirit and confidence.

Speaking to a local media outlet, he appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, acknowledging their decisive role in strengthening national direction and response during Marka-e-Haq.

He said the leadership reflected clarity, coordination and firm resolve at a critical time. He further noted that Pakistan’s armed forces responded with professionalism and effectiveness, stating that the military successfully countered and defeated the adversary through timely action, superior preparedness and coordinated operational strength.

The Special Assistant emphasized that the success demonstrated Pakistan’s defence capability and strategic readiness, reinforcing confidence in the country’s military strength and institutional cohesion.

He said Pakistan’s response demonstrated clear superiority in planning, coordination and execution during Marka-e-Haq.

He also lamented the political attitude of PTI, stating that national issues should not be politicized and emphasizing the need for unity and responsible discourse, especially in matters related to national security.

Responding to a query on the recent rise in petrol prices, he said the government stands with the people and fully understands their concerns, as it is a public and political government.

However, he noted that the current adjustments were part of commitments under the IMF agreement, as the government has to meet agreed tax targets, adding that efforts are underway to ease the situation and provide relief.

He further expressed optimism that the country would soon move out of this difficult phase through economic stabilization measures and improved fiscal management. He also stressed the importance of tax awareness, urging citizens to contribute responsibly to strengthen national resources and support long-term economic stability.
