Hurriat leader greets newly elected members of National Press Club

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) A leader of Friends of Kashmir, Abdul Hameed Lone, on Saturday congratulated the newly elected members of the National Press Club Islamabad, including President Abdul Razzaq Sial and Secretary General, after the club’s recent elections.

Friends of Kashmir leader Abdul Hameed Lone said he extends congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the National Press Club Islamabad. He said the success of the new body reflects the support of the journalist community.

He congratulated President Abdul Razzaq Sial and Secretary General along with other members of the elected body. He also said that members elected from both the Democrats panel and the Journalists panel deserve recognition for gaining the confidence of voters in the press club elections.

Lone said he hopes the new leadership of the National Press Club will also play a role in raising awareness about the Kashmir issue.

According to him, the press club remains a key platform for journalists to discuss national and regional matters.

He also congratulated other office-bearers of the press club. These include Senior Vice President Ehtesham ul Haq and Vice Presidents Sehrish Qureshi, Usman Khan, and Bashir Chaudhry.

The Friends of Kashmir leader further extended greetings to other successful candidates from the Journalists panel. These include Abid Abbasi, Shiraz Gardezi, Aoun Shirazi, Javed Bhagat and Shakeela Jalil.

Lone said the newly elected members have an opportunity to work for journalists and strengthen the role of the press club. He expressed hope that the new leadership will continue efforts to address issues faced by journalists and support discussions on matters of public interest.
