HPE Deptt shines as labour day sports Gala concludes at City College Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) A Labor Day inter-departmental sports gala concluded at Government City Girls Degree College, Gulbahar, where the Health and Physical education (HPE) department delivered an outstanding performance, securing top positions in multiple events.

The event featured competitions among various departments in cricket, badminton, table tennis, athletics, and 3x3 basketball. Students actively participated, demonstrating their skills and enthusiasm.

The HPE department stood out with exceptional performances, particularly in athletics where its students excelled in track events and secured notable victories.

The department also reached the final in 3x3 basketball and achieved prominent positions in other sports.

While students from other departments also participated with great enthusiasm, the overall performance of the HPE department remained the most impressive.

At the concluding ceremony, prizes and trophies were distributed among the winners. Principal of the college, Professor Rabia Sikandar, appreciated the athletes’ performances and emphasized that such events promote healthy activities and enhance both physical and mental capabilities of students.
