Historic victory of Marka-e-Haq taught India a lesson for all times: Abid Sher Ali

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Senator Abid Sher Ali said on Sunday that the historic success of Marka-e-Haq “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” had taught India such a lesson that it would never dare to commit aggression against Pakistan again while the great victory had elevated Pakistan’s prestige, defense strength and diplomatic stature across the world.

Talking to media after leading a rally and attending a cake-cutting ceremony in connection with the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” at his public secretariat, he said that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership was on the same page and this national unity was a guarantee for the country’s defense, stability, promotion of investment and economic revival.

He said that the entire nation was celebrating victory on May 10 and taking pride in the remarkable success of the brave armed forces of Pakistan. India had attempted aggressive adventurism against Pakistan but the country gave a strong and effective response and foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs, he added.

Senator Abid Sher Ali said that the armed forces of Pakistan had proved through their professional competence, courage and sacrifices that defense of the country was in invincible hands. A strong defense restored global confidence, attracted investment, strengthened the economy and helped control inflation, he added.

He said that brotherly countries including Qatar and Saudi Arabia fully supported Pakistan during difficult times, which reflected the country’s strong diplomatic standing and growing international confidence.

He remarked that there was a time when global leadership ignored Pakistan, but today the world powers were appreciating Pakistan and acknowledging its role at the international level.

He said that Allah Almighty had blessed Pakistan with a diplomatic position that only a few countries in the world currently enjoyed, adding that Pakistan was emerging globally as a dignified, responsible and effective state.

Speaking on security issues, the senator said that the war against terrorism would continue until elimination of the last terrorist.

He made it clear that no harm would be allowed to come to even an inch of the country’s territory. Tthe entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and India’s proxy war against Pakistan would be brought to its logical conclusion, he added.

He said that India was an enemy of peace and development in Pakistan and was continuously trying to create instability in the region, but Pakistan knew how to defeat every conspiracy.

He said that anyone opposing the Pakistan Army could not be sincere to the national interests because the armed forces were the guarantor of the country’s defense, security and survival.

Discussing the economic situation, Senator Abid Sher Ali said that the incumbent government had taken difficult decisions under challenging circumstances. No government increased petroleum prices willingly, but such decisions were taken in the greater national interest and for economic improvement, he added.

He expressed hope that inflation would start declining visibly within the coming days and weeks and the public would get relief. The government had set aside its political interests and prioritized the state of Pakistan, he added.

Earlier, Senator Abid Sher Ali along with MPA Mian Tahir Jameel let a rally which was taken out from the Dera of Mian Tahir Jameel to New Nazimabad.

The participants of the rally were carrying national flags while slogans in favor of Pakistan, the armed forces and the heroes of Marka-e-Haq echoed in the air.

Later, Senator Abid Sher Ali cut a cake to celebrate completion of one year of Marka-e-Haq “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” and paid tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan.

Special prayers were also offered for the country’s security, stability, development and prosperity.
