Health Authority reviews dengue outdoor surveillance in Cantt areas

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Deputy District Health Officer, Dr. Hamza Razi on Saturday conducted a field visit to review the performance of dengue outdoor surveillance teams in the district.

During the visit, ongoing vector surveillance and anti-dengue activities were inspected in detail to assess field implementation.

He directed the teams to further strengthen both indoor and outdoor surveillance, ensure timely identification and elimination of dengue breeding sites, and enhance public awareness regarding preventive measures.

The officer emphasized for improving the quality of field operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and promoting coordination among teams for effective dengue control.

He also instructed strict compliance with dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs) and directed officials to ensure effective monitoring of all ongoing activities, officials said.
