Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq Islamabad to hold elections on May 1

The Islamabad chapter of literary circle Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq is set to hold its elections on May 1, at the Writers House of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL)

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) The Islamabad chapter of literary circle Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq is set to hold its elections on May 1, at the Writers House of Pakistan academy of Letters (PAL).

According to the details, the polling will be held from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Members have been urged to ensure their participation in the electoral process.

Two candidates are contesting the post of secretary. Munir Fayyaz has been nominated with Akhtar Usman as proposer and Hameed Qaiser as seconder, while Farzand Ali Hashmi will act as his polling agent.

The second candidate, Tariq Engineer, has been proposed by Akbar Khan Niazi and seconded by Nasir Ali Nasir. Akbar Khan Niazi will also act as his polling agent.

Organizers have urged members to turn out for the election and exercise their right to franchise.
