Green Property Certificates launched in Gujrat to boost transparency in land records

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The Punjab government's land reforms initiative took a major step forward with the formal launch of Green Property Certificates in Gujrat,aimed at ensuring transparency and legal protection in property dealings,here on Saturday.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Gujrat,Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi,distributed the first set of Green Property Certificates to citizens during an event at her office,describing the initiative as a crucial development in enhancing the property management system in the district.

The certificates issued by the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) were equipped with digitally secured QR codes,allowing property owners to verify their records online.

The move was expected to streamline the property verification process and reduce disputes related to land ownership.

The district administration stated that the new system would promote greater transparency within the real estate sector and foster increased public trust in the land record management system.
