SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) A grand ceremony to celebrate ‘Jashn-e-Marka-e-Haq’ will be held in Sukkur on May 12, 2026. The event is being organized jointly by the Sukkur district administration and the Sukkur Municipal Corporation at the Marka-e-Haq Wall and Walking Track.
Top political, government and military figures are expected to attend. Students will present tableaus, national songs, and speeches, while renowned singers will perform patriotic and regional songs.
A meeting to finalize arrangements was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office conference hall under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Sukkur, Majid Ali Mako. Deputy Mayor Sukkur Dr. Arshad Ali Mughal, Commissioner SMC Pir Wahid Bux, Major (16 Division) Taimur Ilyas, Director Private Schools Hameeda Jatoi, Deputy DEO Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Sukkur Javed Hameed Qureshi, Principal IBA Public school Sukkur Dr. Ali Gohar Chang, Director Pakistan Sweet Home Sukkur Shabbir Memon, Assistant Director Litigation Syed Wafa Shah, and officials from education, police, traffic police, SMC, Information Department, and other departments attended.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The meeting was informed that Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi, Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan islam Shaikh, Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Nadir Shahzad Khan, SSP Sukkur Azhar Mughal, senior officers of the armed forces and other dignitaries will participate.
More than 1,000 students from public and private schools, along with parents, citizens, and people from various walks of life, will attend. Students of grades 9 and 10 will take part in speech competitions, while educational institutions will present tableaus and national songs. Renowned singers will perform national, patriotic, and regional songs.
ADC-II Majid Ali Mako directed education officials to ensure full rehearsals for all participating students on Sunday evening so they can perform with complete preparation.
Officials from education, police, traffic police, the municipal corporation, and other departments reaffirmed their commitment to celebrating Jashn-e-Marka-e-Haq in a befitting manner.
