ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani on Wednesday said that the government has started implementing austerity plan for fuel conservation and economic stability.

Austerity measures would help overcome the current challenges, he said while talking to a private television channel.

Commenting on crisis in the middle east, he said Pakistan always played role for peace. He said that Pakistan would continue diplomatic efforts for peace in the region.

In reply to a question about Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), he said PTI should use the forum of parliament for discussing national issues.

To a question, he said PTI should also play role for national interest.
