Govt. slashes petrol, diesel prices; announces major relief for consumers

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) The government on Friday announced a major reduction in petroleum prices, providing significant relief to consumers across the country.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs74.

28 per litre with effect from June 20, 2026.

The price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has also been cut by Rs67.31 per litre.

The reduction is expected to lower transportation and operational costs, easing financial pressure on consumers and businesses and supporting economic activity.
