Govt increases petroleum prices from May 1

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) The government announced on Thursday an increase in petroleum prices, which will take effect across the country from May 1, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs19.

39 per litre, rising from Rs 380.19 to Rs 399.58.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has also gone up by Rs 6.51 per litre, from Rs 393.35 to Rs 399.86.

The new prices will be implemented nationwide from May 1, 2026.
