ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad on Tuesday said the government is prioritizing the promotion of agriculture and enhancement of exports to further strengthen the national economy.

Speaking to a private television channel, he said the farming community is being provided with loan facilities to support agricultural growth and improve productivity.

He said financial assistance is being extended to small and medium-scale farmers under the “Zarkhizi” programme.

Responding to a question, he said the manufacturing sector is also playing a significant role in supporting economic growth and strengthening the country's financial outlook.

Commenting on the Federal budget, he said extensive consultations were held with all relevant institutions and stakeholders before its preparation to ensure a comprehensive and balanced fiscal plan.
