Govt. cuts petroleum prices by up to Rs6.80 Per litre

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) The Federal government on Friday announced a reduction in petroleum prices for the next fortnight, lowering the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel by up to Rs6.80 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs6.

80 per litre, bringing the new price down from Rs409.58 to Rs402.78 per litre.

Similarly, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has been decreased by Rs6.00 per litre, reducing its rate from Rs409.78 to Rs403.78 per litre.

The revised prices will come into effect from May 23, 2026.
