Governor Kundi assures full support to Chinese investors in KP mining sector

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has assured Chinese investors of full cooperation and facilities for investment in the mineral sector, saying the province offered vast opportunities for foreign investment in mining and natural resources.

He was talking to a delegation of Chinese mining companies led by former provincial minister Yousaf Ayub Khan during a meeting held at here Governor House.

The delegation included Xiao Xuezheng CEO of Zhuzhou Jinzheng Mining Pvt Ltd, Fu QiuFeng Chairman of Tuny Pak Mining Pvt Ltd, Ibrahim Ihsan Khan CEO of Vulcan Resources Private Limited, MaHongYun General Manager of Zhuzhou Jinzheng Mining Pvt Ltd, and Hamza Ayub Khan of Pakistan-China Friendship Association.

During the meeting, the Chinese delegation apprised the Governor of the challenges being faced by mining companies operating in the province.

Governor Kundi assured the delegation of his full support in resolving their issues and facilitating investors.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possessed immense potential in the minerals sector and welcomed further Chinese investment in the province.

He said all possible facilities would be provided to Chinese investors and added that encouraging foreign investment would help boost economic activity and investment in the province.

The Governor said the doors of the province remained open to all investors and emphasized that the government was committed to creating a conducive environment for business and investment.
