Gold, Silver prices soar in Pakistan, global markets

The price of silver per tola rises by Rs 188 and reaches Rs10,050 while the price of silver per 10 grams climbs by Rs161, settling it at Rs 8,616

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 2^nd, 2026) The gold and silver prices recorded another significant increase on Monday (today) in Pakistan and in the global markets.

Alongside the gold, silver prices also saw a notable increase. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs 188 and reached Rs10,050 while the price of silver per 10 grams climbed by Rs161, settling it at Rs 8,616.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold surged by $133 per ounce and reached a new level of $5,411 on Monday.

This rise comes amid growing global economic tensions.

On the local front, in the first business day of the week, the price of 24-carat gold per tola jumped by Rs 13,300, reaching Rs 563,862 in local markets.

Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 11,402, bringing it at Rs 483,420.

The upward trend in gold and silver prices follows a similar pattern from the previous week, where both precious metals saw significant price hikes on the last business day (Saturday).
