Gold rises slightly, heads for weekly gains

WASHINGTON, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 08th May, 2026) The price of gold rose slightly today, Friday, heading towards achieving weekly gains.

Spot gold increased by 0.3% to $4,700.80 per ounce as of 00:59 GMT, recording a 1.9% rise since the beginning of the week so far.

Meanwhile, US gold futures for June delivery remained steady at $4,709.90 per ounce. Silver in spot transactions rose by 0.8% to $79.10 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.5% to $2,032.70, while palladium gained 0.1% to $1,482.50.
