Girl killed, parents injured as oil tanker hits motorcycle in Chiniot

A young girl was killed while her parents sustained injuries after an oil tanker struck a motorcycle on Jhumra Road near Kot Khudaiyar in Chiniot, Rescue 1122 officials said on Tuesday

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) A young girl was killed while her parents sustained injuries after an oil tanker struck a motorcycle on Jhumra Road near Kot Khudaiyar in Chiniot, Rescue 1122 officials said on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122, the family was travelling on a motorcycle when the speeding oil tanker collided with them, leaving all three victims critically injured.

Twenty-five-year-old Maya died on the spot, while her father, 45-year-old Nazir, son of Muhammad, and mother, 45-year-old Amina Bibi, suffered injuries.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident and shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital Chiniot after providing first aid. The body of the deceased was also transported to the hospital.

Officials said the body was later handed over to the heirs after completion of necessary formalities. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
