SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The Gambat Liver Transplant & HPB Surgery Department of Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) successfully organized a workshop on Disinfection Management & Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) on Friday.
The workshop was attended by senior liver consultants, medical officers, nursing staff, and members of the Infection Prevention and Control team. Participants engaged actively in technical sessions and practical demonstrations aimed at strengthening hospital infection control practices.
The core focus of the workshop was to reinforce best practices in disinfection protocols, enhance patient safety measures, and ensure compliance with national and international hospital hygiene standards. Experts highlighted the critical role of IPC in preventing healthcare-associated infections and maintaining a safe environment for patients, especially those undergoing complex liver transplant and HPB surgeries.
