SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Health experts at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) on Tuesday urged the public to adopt moderation and healthy practices while consuming meat during Eid-ul-Azha to avoid digestive and cardiac complications.
Dr. Hosh Muhammad, Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at GIMS Gambat while talking to APP said that while Eid-ul-Azha is a time of celebration and Qurbani, excessive or improper consumption of meat can lead to indigestion, acidity, and increased risk for heart patients.
“Health is our greatest blessing. We must celebrate with joy while taking care of ourselves and our loved ones,” Dr. Muhammad said.
He advised people to eat meat in moderation, trim visible and internal fat, and avoid organ meats such as liver and brain to reduce cholesterol intake.
