Gilani expresses deep grief over demise of senator Taj Afridi

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Friday expressed profound sorrow and grief over the tragic demise of Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi in a traffic accident and extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.

In his condolence message, the Chairman Senate said that the parliamentary, political, and public services of Taj Muhammad Afridi will always be remembered.

He added that the passing of the former Senator is a significant loss for the nation as well as parliamentary circles.

Gilani said that the late leader played an important role in promoting public welfare in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, strengthening democratic values, and contributing to the legislative process.
