Gilani condemns blast near police van in Lakki Marwat

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday strongly condemned the explosion that occurred near a police van in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of several police personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO), in the blast, the Chairman of the Senate conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families.

He paid tribute to the services of the martyrs for the country and the nation, stating that the sacrifices rendered by the security forces and law enforcement agencies for the peace and stability of the country are unforgettable.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said terrorism has no connection with any religion and that terrorists were the common enemies of humanity who sought to destroy peace and order in the world.

He added that Pakistan’s security forces and police personnel have rendered unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism, which was a source of pride for the entire nation.

He further said that the martyrs were the nation’s precious asset and pride, whose sacrifices would always be remembered.

The Chairman Senate said in this difficult time, the entire nation stood with the families of the martyrs and shared their grief.
