GDA holds key meeting on budget preparation for FY 2026–27

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) A meeting regarding the preparation of the budget for the financial year 2026–27 was held at the Head Office of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), which was chaired by Director General GDA Muhammad Fawad and attended by all directors and relevant senior officers of the authority.

During the session, participants held detailed discussions on upcoming development initiatives, enhancement of tourism facilities, and various aspects of sustainable development in the Galiyat region. The meeting particularly focused on promoting eco-tourism, construction and rehabilitation of trekking tracks, provision of modern tourist facilities, environmental conservation, and improvement of infrastructure.

The Director General emphasized that comprehensive and long-term planning is essential to develop Galiyat as a model tourist destination.

Heads of different departments presented their proposals and recommendations, which will be reviewed for inclusion in the next fiscal year’s budget.

The participants reiterated their commitment to utilizing all available resources for the development of the Galiyat region and the improvement of the tourism sector.
