GCWUS participates in SBP Women Day celebration

Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) participated in the International Women’s Day event organized by SBP BSC Sialkot on Friday

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) participated in the International Women’s Day event organized by SBP BSC Sialkot on Friday.

According to a spokesperson,Vice Chancellor(VC) of GCWUS,Prof. Dr.Shazia Bashir was the chief guest and highlighted the crucial role of women in Pakistan’s economic growth and national development.

She stressed the importance of education,financial literacy and equal opportunities for empowering women.

The celebration,held under the State Bank of Pakistan’s “Banking on Equality” policy,featured female representatives from academia,corporate and financial sectors sharing their achievements and challenges.

Chief Manager,Waqas Kashif Bajwa appreciated women’s contributions across sectors and acknowledged the participation of distinguished guests.

The event underscored the commitment to promoting women’s financial inclusion and creating an inclusive economic ecosystem in Pakistan.
