GB Govt imposes immediate ban on recruitment ahead of General Elections 2026

GILGIT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has imposed an immediate ban on all types of recruitment across the region to ensure transparency in the upcoming General Elections 2026.

According to an official circular issued by the Services, General Administration and Cabinet Department, the ban applies to all stages of recruitment, including the advertisement of new vacancies, written examinations, and interviews.

The restrictions will remain in force until the formation of the new government.

Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating these directives.
