PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Police in Peshawar have completed investigation of a gang involved in smuggling drugs through specially designed jackets and have sent the suspects to jail.

Police on Wednesday informed, the gang was operating from a house in Hamid Colony, Dalazak Road in Peshawar. During a raid conducted a few days ago, the Pahari Pura Police recovered approximately 9 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice), heroin, 200 HTC pills, along with machinery and other equipment used in drug preparation.

The recovered drugs were estimated to be worth between 10 to 15 million rupees in the market. Police arrested Imran Khan, a resident of Karim Pura and Wajahat, a resident of Chamkani, during the operation.

Investigators say the suspects allegedly smuggled drugs hidden inside jackets to different cities including Punjab and Islamabad, and even Italy.

Authorities believe the group had a large network and had been secretly running a drug manufacturing facility for the past six months to one year.

Police said most of the HTC pills were transported to Punjab. A third suspect linked to the network is still on the run.

According to police, the main accused Imran Khan was skilled in stitching jackets and used his expertise to conceal drugs inside them for smuggling. He reportedly started the illegal business for financial gain.

After the completion of interrogation, the arrested suspects have now been sent to jail, while further investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining member of the network.
