Galiyat launches modern wastewater treatment system to boost sustainable tourism

NATHIAGALI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2026) The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) on Sunday inaugurated a modern Wastewater Collection and Treatment System in Galiyat, marking a significant step toward environmental protection and sustainable tourism in the region.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism, Culture, Archaeology and Museums, Malik Adil Iqbal, inaugurated the project as the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by GDA Director General Muhammad Fawad, senior GDA officials, government officers, elected representatives, and local dignitaries.

The newly launched system is designed to collect and treat wastewater using modern technology, helping to reduce pollution, protect Galiyat’s natural environment, and preserve the area’s scenic beauty.
