Funeral prayers offered for armed forces personnel martyred in MI-17 helicopter crash

MUZAFFARABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Funeral prayers for the officers and soldiers martyred in the crash of a Pak Army Aviation MI-17 helicopter were offered here on Thursday.

The funeral ceremony was attended by the Acting President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Corps Commander Rawalpindi, senior civil and military officials, and a large number of citizens.

On the occasion, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute to the martyrs.

The participants paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and offered special prayers for the elevation of their ranks.

The mortal remains of the martyrs were dispatched to their native hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honor.
