Funeral Prayers for MPA Nadeem Kharal Offered in Khairpur

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Funeral prayers for Sindh Assembly Member Naeem Ahmed Kharal, who passed away after a prolonged illness, were offered at Mumtaz Ground, Khairpur on Sunday late at night. He was laid to rest amid a large gathering of mourners.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister and Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Imdad Pitafi, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Senator Kazim Hussain Lakhani, Riaz Hussain Sheerazi, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Mukesh Chawla, Director Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Dr Raheem Bus Bhatti, Commissioner Sukkur Abid Saleem Qureshi, DIG Sukkur Nasir Aftab, Pir Syed Bachal Shah Jilani, and Sardar Zulfiqar Kumario, along with other provincial ministers and prominent political figures, attended the funeral prayers.

A large number of members of the National and Sindh assemblies, as well as political and social leaders, were present at Mumtaz Ground. Thousands of mourners from Khairpur district and across Sindh arrived to pay their last respects.

Participants offered prayers for the departed leader’s forgiveness and elevation of ranks in the afterlife. Speakers said that with Naeem Ahmed Kharal’s passing, Sindh, and Khairpur in particular, has lost an active political leader.

Elaborate security arrangements were made at Mumtaz Ground for the funeral prayers.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed condolences to the bereaved family. Political, social and public circles paid tribute to Naeem Ahmed Kharal’s services.
