Funeral prayers for Dr Haroon ur Rasheed Tabassum offered

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Funeral prayers of renowned educationist, Iqbalist, researcher, and social figure Prof Dr Haroon-ur-Rasheed

Tabassum were offered here on Monday, attended by a large number of people from all walks of life.

According to a press release, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali expressed deep grief and sorrow over

the demise of the veteran scholar, stating that Dr Tabassum provided a unique identity to Sargodha

across the globe.

The commissioner highlighted that the deceased introduced the history, culture, and literature of the region

through his extensive services, adding that no local ceremony was considered complete without

his presence.

He further remarked that Dr Tabassum remained active until his last breath and served as a symbol of punctuality,

noting that his students are currently serving globally and bringing pride to his name.

He also prayed for the elevation of the departed soul's ranks and for the bereaved family to bear the

loss with fortitude.
