Funeral prayer of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed offered today at Chaklala Garrison

The martyr will be buried in his hometown with full military honors.

The funeral prayer of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain Shaheed, a resident of Sargodha, was offered at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi. He embraced martyrdom after sustaining injuries while leading his troops during an intelligence-based operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan.

The funeral was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with federal ministers, senior civil and military officials, family members, and a large number of citizens.

Paying tribute, the prime minister praised the officer’s bravery, dedication, and commitment to defending the country. He said Pakistan’s armed forces, with the full support of the nation, are determined to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism and its facilitators.

He added that the sacrifices of martyrs strengthen the nation’s resolve and show Pakistan’s firm commitment to protecting its peace, stability, and sovereignty.
