Funeral prayers of those who embraced martyrdom in a MI-17 helicopter crash in Muzaffarabad were offered on Thursday at Chaklala Garrison. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, COAS & CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other top civil and military officials attended the funeral prayers, said a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Earlier, funeral services of two Christian soldiers were offered at Christ Church, Rawalpindi. Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister remarked that the martyrs' devotion to duty, professionalism, and commitment to safeguarding the motherland will remain a source of inspiration for future generations, the news release said. He emphasised that the sacrifices of armed forces for peace, security, and national sovereignty can never be forgotten, reaffirming the nation's unwavering support for the families of the martyrs during this difficult time.
