FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Free Wi-Fi facility is available at 150 locations in Faisalabad for emergency use under Punjab Government’s Digital Vision for enabling citizens to access emergency and police-related applications free of cost through the Safe City project.

Police spokesman said that this initiative would facilitate the citizens in urgent situations by providing instant internet connectivity for essential services including police help-lines and emergency response applications.

This service has been activated at major points across the city and operates through devices installed on poles of Safe City surveillance cameras, he added.

He said that the users can access the facility by connecting to the network titled “CM Maryam Nawaz FREE WIFI”.

After selecting the network, the users must click the connect option, which would redirect them to a designated login page. By entering the required details on the page and completing the process, they can successfully log in to the system, he added.

He clarified that the free internet service is specifically designed for emergency support and public safety assistance. Once logged in, the users can only access emergency-related applications or police apps to seek help, report incidents or contact relevant help-lines.

This initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to strengthen digital connectivity and public safety infrastructure in Faisalabad, ensuring that citizens can quickly reach emergency services whenever needed, he added.
