Free Iftar, sehar Dastarkhwans set up across district

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) On the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, free Iftar and Sehar dastarkhwans have been set

up at various locations across the district during the holy month of Ramazan to facilitate fasting citizens,

travellers and the underprivileged.

According to the district administration, the arrangements have been made in different tehsils to ensure the

provision of quality meals in an organized manner.

In Tehsil Dera Ismail Khan, the dastarkhwans have been established at the District Headquarters Hospital,

Mufti Mehmood Memorial Hospital, Government Panah Gah (shelter home), Women Hospital and near

Dera-Darya Khan Bridge on the inter-provincial route.

Similarly, in Tehsil Paharpur, facilities have been arranged at Rangpur and Chashma on the inter-provincial

highway. In Tehsil Paroa, the main Paroa Bazaar has been selected for the initiative, while in Tehsil

Darazinda, the facility has been set up at Aman Mela on the inter-provincial route.

The district administration said that the initiative aims to provide relief to commuters, daily wage earners and deserving individuals during Ramazan.

Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring transparency, quality food standards and smooth arrangements throughout the holy month.
