Four-member gang involved in street crimes arrested

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Captain (Retd.)Dost Muhammad on Sunday said police had arrested four members of an inter-district gang allegedly involved in motorcycle theft, mobile snatching and street crimes in Sialkot.

According to police officials,the operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP Saddar Circle by SHO Muradpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Qaiser Bashir.

The suspects were arrested through the use of modern technology, human intelligence and CCTV footage.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Asad Ali, son of Muhammad Riaz and a resident of Gujrat currently residing in Ghartown,Sialkot,Umair r/o Nawan Pind Agoki,Ali Asghar r/o Harar and Rahul, r/o Gohadpur.

Police said the gang, led by Asad alias Asda, had been operating within the jurisdiction of Muradpur Police Station and was involved in multiple incidents of robbery and theft.

During the initial investigation, the suspects allegedly confessed to involvement in 30 criminal cases.

The police recovered five motorcycles, cash worth Rs250,000, six mobile phones and illegal.

30 bore pistols from the suspects.Officials said further investigation was underway and more recoveries were expected.

DPO Captain (Retd.)Dost Muhammad announced commendation certificates and cash rewards for the police officers and personnel who took part in the successful operation.
