KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The Special Investigation Unit (SIU/CIA) of Karachi Police claimed to have arrested four alleged drug peddlers, including online narcotics dealers, in two separate intelligence-based operations and recovered a large quantity of hashish and ice from their possession.
According to an SIU spokesperson on Wednesday, the first operation was conducted within the limits of Jamshed Quarters police station, where two alleged drug dealers were arrested.
The arrested suspects were identified as Abdul Hameed and Muhammad Riaz. Police recovered 2.815 kilogrammes of hashish from their possession.
The spokesperson said that the suspects were involved in selling narcotics through online bookings and were allegedly on their way to deliver an order at the time of arrest.

In another operation, the SIU team acted on intelligence reports regarding suspects allegedly supplying narcotic pills to farmhouse parties and individual customers.
During the raid, two suspects identified as Abdul Shakoor, described as the group’s main supplier, and Usman were arrested.
Police recovered 110 grammes of ice from their possession.
According to the SIU spokesperson, the suspects were allegedly involved in both direct and online sale of narcotics, while a majority of their customers were teenagers.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects at the SIU police station, while further investigation is underway to trace other accomplices and the wider narcotics network, the spokesperson added.
