Four bus passengers injured in road accident

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) Four passengers were injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck near Head Panjnad on Karachi Road in Tehsil Alipur on Friday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials,the bus was traveling from Alipur to Karachi when it hit the side of a truck while attempting to overtake the vehicle.

Around 70 passengers were on board at the time of the accident.

Following the incident,two Rescue 1122 ambulances from Uch Sharif were dispatched to the scene under the supervision of Rescue Safety Officer Alipur Muhammad Akhtar Khan.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to two passengers who suffered minor injuries, while two others with critical injuries were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for further treatment.

Police reached the site and launched an investigation into the incident.

Statements of both drivers were recorded, while eyewitnesses were also questioned to establish the circumstances that led to the collision and determine responsibility.

Road accidents remain a recurring concern on intercity routes,often attributed to reckless driving, speeding and unsafe overtaking practices.
