Four arrested for fireworks at wedding ceremony

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Police on Wednesday arrested four persons for allegedly resorting to fireworks during a wedding ceremony in the jurisdiction of Sadar Bairooni police station.

A police spokesman said the action led to the recovery of 15 aerial shots, 10 firework fountains, 2 cake boxes, 2 cracking colour boxes, 7 fireworks items and 3 China sticks.

He said cases had been registered against the arrested persons, while raids were underway to arrest other suspects involved.

SP Sadar Anum Sher said those endangering public lives through fireworks would not be allowed to escape the law.
