Foolproof security plan finalized across Multan

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Multan region police finalized a foolproof security plan for Eid-ul-Azha across the region on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Usman Akram Gondal.

According to police spokesperson, Eid prayers will be offered at 2,061 venues, including Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs, across the four districts of the region, while arrangements have also been made at 78 open places for Eid congregations.

To maintain law and order during the religious festival, more than 4,843 police officials and personnel would perform security duties across the region.

Strict monitoring arrangements have been ensured at sensitive locations through CCTV cameras, walkthrough gates and metal detectors.

Special patrolling and surveillance duties have been assigned to the Elite Force, Dolphin Force and mobile police teams.

RPO, Usman Akram Gondal, said that providing a peaceful and secure environment to citizens during Eid-ul-Azha was the top priority of police. He added that directions had been issued to the City Police Officer Multan and District Police Officers of Vehari, Khanewal and Lodhran to ensure effective security arrangements at all Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs.
