Foolproof security being ensured for mourners during Muharram: DC

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Cap (R) Nadeem Nasir has said that foolproof security and other facilities are being ensured to the mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram.

He said this while talking to the members of the Azadari Council Punjab regarding the Muharram arrangements here on Tuesday. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Anwar Ali and others were present.

He said that the security and administrative arrangements regarding Muharram-ul-Haram are being made more effective and foolproof.

Cameras are being installed on all the routes of processions and majalis, in addition to lighting and cleanliness.

He said that to make security more effective, police personnel will be deployed at the entrance points of the processions and majalis as well as Imam Bargahs. He said that in addition to the availability of generators for uninterrupted supply of electricity, the number of sabeels and camps has been increased on the procession routes.

The DC said that maintaining law and order in the district is a collective responsibility.
