Foolproof security arrangements to be ensured on Youm-e-Ali (RA): RPO

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO), Usman Akram Gondal said that foolproof security arrangements have been finalized to ensure the peaceful observance of the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA) on the 21st of Ramadan.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting with procession license holders and representatives of the traders’ community to review security arrangements for the religious occasion.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar also attended the meeting.

During the session, detailed consultation was held regarding security measures for processions and religious gatherings to be held across the city.

RPO, Usman Akram Gondal said that all necessary arrangements have been completed and strict security will be ensured on the occasion.

He said search operations were being carried out in the areas surrounding procession routes to maintain a secure environment.

He further said that technical sweeping of the routes and venues will be conducted before the start of processions and majalis to prevent any untoward incident.

CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar said that all processions and gatherings will be monitored through CCTV cameras as part of a comprehensive security plan.

Representatives of procession license holders and the traders’ community expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the police and assured their full cooperation with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order during the observance.
