Foolproof security arrangements finalized for Eid-ul-Adha, religious scholars assure full cooperation

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Attock Police and district administration have finalized security arrangements to ensure peace and order during Eid-ul-Adha. In this regard, an important meeting was held at the office of SDPO Attock Saddar Circle Muhammad Ilyas, attended by religious scholars from different schools of thought, organizers of Imambargahs, and police officials.

According to APP correspondent, the SDPO Muhammad Ilyas said that for the peaceful observance of Eid-ul-Adha, scholars and the public from all schools of thought must fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies so that no anti-state or terrorist elements could exploit the situation. He emphasized that thorough checking arrangements should be made by volunteers before Eid prayers at mosques, Imambargahs, and open prayer grounds.

The SDPO directed strict implementation of SOPs issued by the district administration and urged citizens to avoid unnecessary use of loudspeakers. He further advised that animal waste should not be thrown in open areas but disposed of properly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

He specifically warned against dumping animal remains near Kamra Airbase and surrounding areas, stating that it could increase bird activity and pose a risk of air accidents.

Muhammad Ilyas thanked all participants and expressed his determination to maintain an atmosphere of brotherhood and religious harmony during the upcoming Muharram-ul-Haram as well. The meeting ended with a prayer led by Mufti Amir Zaman.
