Food Authority conducts inspections of food outlets in Qazi Ahmed city

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Food Control Authority team of district Shaheed Benazirabad, under the supervision of Assistant Director Naveed Abbas Zardari, conducted inspections of food outlets, including hotels, sweet marts, and dairy shops in Qazi Ahmed city.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director Naveed Abbas Zardari said that, following public complaints and on the strict directives of Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, more than 40 shops were inspected during visit.

The team found adulteration in cooking oil, ghee, milk, and other food items. Fines were imposed on shop owners involved, and were also issued warnings.

He said that if any shopkeeper is found involved in adulteration again, strict action would be taken, including sealing of the shop.

He said that there have been complaints regarding sale of chemically adulterated milk at hotels in Qazi Ahmed and other areas of the district. In response, the Food Control Authority has intensified its operations on an emergency basis. Naveed Abbas Zardari emphasized that authority is committed to ensuring the availability of pure and adulteration-free food items for public across the district.
