FO directs to provide relief of Rs, 1,07,000 to petitioner in terms of gas bill

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Federal Ombudsman (FO) Regional Office Quetta gave judgment in favor of petitioner Khair Muhammad and ordered concerned sector to provide relief of Rs. 1,07,000 in terms of gas bill.

Petitioner Khair Muhammad said that due to gas leakage, the petitioner received a bill of more than Rs. 2,00,000 as he went to the gas office several time to correct it, but the concerned office did not pay any heed to the issue.

Therefore, to get justice, he approached the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta and filed an application against the concerned department. As soon as the application was received, the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta started a timely inquiry and started the immediate hearing of the case by summoning the concerned department.

During the hearing, the concerned department admitted its mistake and corrected the petitioner's bill on the order of the federal ombudsman, which provided the petitioner with a relief of Rs, 1,07,000 on the gas bill.

The petitioner thanked the Federal Ombudsman for this timely and fair decision.

Meanwhile, in the second case, the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta issued order to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to correct the name of family member of petitioner Abdul Ghaffar who had filed case in the Federal Ombudsman that NADRA had included strangers’ people in family tree.

In third case, Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta directed Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to provide with a relief of Rs 34, 700 to petitioner Muhammad Umar in term of electricity bill.
