Five suspects held in Di Khan theft, robbery and murder cases; weapons and stolen cash recovered

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Police claimed to have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in theft, robbery and murder cases during a successful operation carried out by Gomal University Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to police spokesman, the operation was conducted on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmad under the supervision of SP City Muhammad Nauman and DSP Prova Imranullah Khattak.

The police team, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Gomal University Police Station, carried out raids based on intelligence reports and modern investigative techniques and arrested five accused wanted in various criminal cases.

The arrested suspects were identified as Amir Hamza son of Fateh Muhammad, a resident of Daniyal City; Qismatullah son of Bacha Khan and Muhammad Younis son of Rozi Khan, both residents of Fateh Mor.

In a separate murder case, police also arrested accused Shaukat son of Rab Nawaz a resident of Chodahwan and presently residing in Himmat.

During the investigation, police recovered two pistols, including one 9mm pistol and one 30 bore pistol, from the possession of the accused. Besides, cash amounting to Rs567,000, allegedly obtained through theft and robbery incidents, was also recovered.

Police said further investigation was underway to ascertain the involvement of the arrested suspects in other criminal activities.

Meanwhile, DPO Ziauddin Ahmad appreciated the performance of the police team and directed officers to continue indiscriminate action against criminals to ensure protection of life and property of citizens.
