Five killed,three injured in land dispute clash in Bhakkar

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Five people were killed and three others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Basti Chandia,within the jurisdiction of Bahal police station on Saturday.

According to a police spokesperson,the incident occurred when a long-standing land dispute between the rival groups turned violent, leading to an exchange of fire.

The deceased were identified as Niazi (28),along with Aslam, Azhar, Mazhar and Wasim, while the injured included Sajjad, Sajawal and Amanullah.Police said the victims belonged to both groups.

On receiving information,District Police Officer(DPO),Bhakkar Shehzad Rafique Awan,SP Investigation Shoukat Ali, along with the SHO concerned and Rescue 1122 teams, reached the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police said further investigation was underway.
