Five kidnappers arrested, two vehicles recovered during Airport Police Operation

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2026) Police have arrested five suspects within 24 hours while investigating the kidnapping of two citizens from outside the city's airport, successfully rescuing both victims and recovering stolen property.

According to police spokesperson, the suspects allegedly abducted the victims following a dispute related to a vehicle transaction and took them, along with their vehicle to Lahore.

During the operation, police recovered two vehicles, four mobile phones allegedly snatched from the victims, and cash from the accused.

Investigators said the swift progress in the case led to the arrest of all five suspects within 24 hours.

Preliminary investigations suggest the incident stemmed from a dispute over the vehicle business. Further interrogation of the suspects is underway.

Police reiterated that kidnapping, violence, and the exploitation of citizens are unacceptable, adding that protecting the lives and property of the public remains their foremost responsibility and will be ensured under all circumstances.
