Five Kalashnikovs recovered from smugglers

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Local police here on Wednesday foiled a arms smuggling bid and recovered five Kalashnikov rifles in the Jarma area of Kohat district.

According to police, a suspicious car was stopped, and upon checking, five Kalashnikovs were recovered from secret compartments of the car.

The smugglers, identified as Sabir and Zafar, were arrested on the spot. The case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.

Police officials have reaffirmed that operations against smugglers and criminal networks will continue without discrimination to ensure peace and security in the area.
