Five illegal buildings demolished,13 properties sealed

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The district administration of Lahore has demolished five illegal buildings and sealed 13 commercial properties during a crackdown against unauthorized constructions and violations of laws in various parts of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

The enforcement operation was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner(DC)Lahore,Muhammad Ali Ijaz in commercial centres falling under Wagah and Data Ganj Bakhsh zones.

During the action, illegal constructions were demolished in Salamatpura,Shalimar Scheme and Manawan while several buildings on Hall Road,Mozang and Outfall Road were sealed for violating approved construction regulations and zoning laws.

The district administration also completed enforcement operations in Momal Pura,Dogranwala and Lakho Dair areas, targeting structures built without approval and in violation of the city’s master plan.

The DC said strict action was taken against commercial and residential properties involved in unauthorized construction activities.

He further directed authorities to register FIRs against those who restart work or business activities in sealed buildings without permission.

Deputy Commissioner(DC)Lahore,Muhammad Ali Ijaz said no one was above the law and the writ of the state would be ensured at all costs.
