Five held after viral assault video surfaces in Kabirwala

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Five alleged outlaws were arrested after a video showing men and women being brutally assaulted went viral on social media in the limits of Saddar Kabirwala police station,police said on Saturday.

According to officials,the video shows the accused beating victims with sticks,triggering widespread public concern.

District Police Officer(DPO),Muhammad Abid took notice of the incident and ordered immediate action,leading to the arrest of five suspects.

Police said a case was being registered against the accused,adding that strict legal action would follow.

The DPO reiterated that law enforcement agencies were pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against criminal elements and would ensure prompt action in such cases.
